Revelation 11
"And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

Russ:)
Hey Jeff,
I just finished reading your exchange with Ed--good stuff. I'm no expert on this debate, but it seems that philosophically, the Darwinian Evolutionist continues to grasp at thin air in trying to "prove" the theory. I appreciate the "presuppositional" apologetes as they interact with unbelievers in the issues of evolution and materialism.
I'm enjoying your Revelation series with the videos and interesting drawings and pictures. Although I'm an Amillenialist, I can still appreciate the differing viewpoints on the "end times".
Keep up the good work. Your blog is quite interesting to read (though I can't possibly keep up with your writing!). :-)
Well...time to go to church. Mrs. Moogly is giving me the "evil"...err...I mean the "let's go" eye!

I just created a new and better one and sent it to him. I had said it was "temporary" because I didn't know whether that was where he was ultimately going to place it, or whether he would place it somewhere else. By "temporary" I also meant that the design I created was only a temporary design, and I planned to do a better one, which I just now sent to him. Nothing fancy, but I think it looks more like an advertised link, and it now fits the dimensions that he needs, whereas the other one went a little beyond the boundaries of the dimensions that fit in his site's columns.
Great Googly Moogly,
Hey, I'm glad you dropped by again, and glad you left a comment!

Thanks! I agree. In my last post there I tried to explain that I was not able to post my latest reply to Ed, even though I tried about 3 times, and I saw that as a reprimand from the Lord to stop me from saying something I might regret later, because his unfounded name-calling and false accusations (calling me a liar, etc.) were starting to tick me off. So, I figure that was the Lord's way of telling me to stop bickering and arguing with Ed, since it wasn't getting anywhere anyway. Russ emailed me part of Ed's latest reply, and all Ed was doing was nit-picking on things that made no difference as to the truth or falsehood of Creation/Evolution, and he was falsely accusing Christians of being responsible for everything (as far as Ota Benga). With someone like that, it is pointless to even have a discussion with them. The thing is, Ed says that he believes in God, which makes it even more sad. I have met a few Atheists who were Evolutionists (that sounds funny to me, because I don't think there is any such thing as an Atheist who is a Creationist!), and a few of them have been very civil, very mature, and very reasonable. I have met other Evolutionists who were even worse than Ed, but that's another story.

Thank you! Personally, I believe that none of us can know for sure the exact timing of everything, or possibly even the exact ordering of everything, until it happens. God made it a mystery for a reason. At the same time, He allowed enough of it to be revealed so that we would be warned and (hopefully) be ready (as far as our salvation). I used to think that a Pre-Trib Rapture was the only true option, but now I'm not so sure. And some say there won't even be a Rapture. Because of those doubts, and because I can clearly see signs that very strongly make it appear that we are getting closer and closer to the Last Days, I wanted to do this series on Revelation, not only for the sake of readers, but for my education as well.
Keep up the good work. Your blog is quite interesting to read (though I can't possibly keep up with your writing!). :-)
Thank you! I very much appreciate the compliment and encouragement!

LOL!
Great Googly Moogly,
I also wanted to add that Ed actually brought up some interesting points in our debate, and he caused me to do some research and learn some new things. If he wasn't so condescending and antagonistic, I would have told him that.
