I heard James Caviezel, from the film, confess Christ on The Bible Answer Man, the other day.

Happy Easter, Monday.

Russ,

I read that James Caviezel attended a Catholic High School and grew up in a Roman Catholic family, so I suppose then that confessing Christ should not be surprising...unless you mean that he got saved (i.e., as opposed to merely saying that he believes in Jesus).

I also saw this on the Catholic World News website, which hints of a possible change in him of some sort resulting from participating in the movie:
"Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson's film The Passion of the Christ , today told a Roman audience that his role gave him "a very strong spiritual experience that is hard to describe."

And on Wikipedia, it says this, which I found interesting, which is a credit to Mr. Caviezel's standards:
"In 2004, Caviezel portrayed Jesus Christ in the Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ. During filming he was struck by lightning, accidentally whipped, dislocated his shoulder and bruised his eye. After its release, Caviezel was offered the role of spokesman for a fashion line called "Heavenly," which he refused, citing that it would be an insult to people who felt the film had something meaningful to offer."
