Jesus came to save us from our sin

Matthew 1:21 -- "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

John 1:29 -- The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 3:17 -- For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Hebrews 7:27 -- ...He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

I John 1:7 -- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

I John 3:5 -- But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.

A good Scriptural review. I managed to get my first (short) article out with the new computer.

Thanks.

I am still recovering.

Russ,

Congrats on your new computer, and getting it all set up.

Hope you get back to feeling healthy again soon. I know that the stomach flu is not enjoyable at all. The last time I had it, there was a period of time when nothing that I did really made me feel better.

At least getting sick helps us appreciate our health more. I know that, once I got over that last flu, which was the worst I've ever had in my life, I was very aware of how wonderful it is to be healthy (and very thankful for it when I got well), which I usually took for granted without thinking about it. You never really miss something until its gone.
