Cell Phones

Spending too much time talking on the phone?

If we spent as much time in God's Word as many people spend talking on their cell phones, we would be a lot less biblically illiterate than we are today.

Another cute but appropriate message from a very astute child.

A good point. I do not have a cell phone. So, I am okay, at least on that point.

I have a cell phone, but I only use it for outgoing calls; I don't leave it on, like most people seem to do. Those things can get expensive, as far as monthly costs.

Oh, and I only use it for long-distance calls or emergency calls, like if I'm on the road.

Cell phones are becoming as standard an item as TV and radios are. Sure, they can cause accidents. But cell phones are not going to go away. In fact, people are soon going to be surfing the net in their car. Some already do. Technology is going to become more sophisticated. Wireless phones hooked to your head or ears will replace cell phones that you have to hold. Pretty soon, we'll all be hooked up to technology 24/7. We'll spend more time interacting with others online and on the phone than we do in person. Actually, many people already do that.

Good points. I do not have a cell phone largely since I am a student, but would consider getting one in the future. Please write a comment on my blog while driving...just joking.

One of my brothers owns a tow truck business, and he has a phone hooked up to his ear(s) as he drives. He also has a laptop in one of his trucks, which he uses with a GPS system.

I hate when I walk by someone in a store, and they are talking, and you think that they are either talking to themselves, or talking to you; then you find out that they have an earpiece, and are talking on the phone.
