Brief Summary Of My Testimony

I grew up in a Lutheran church. But I was extremely shy, paranoid of people, terrified of social situations, and always fearful. While in Elementary School, I began reading the Bible on my own, and by the end of High School, I had read the entire Bible several times, in several versions/translations. But it wasn't until I was 19 that I became a true Christian. Someone in a Commercial Art class took me aside and told me how Christ Jesus was the Lord of his life, that his life was dedicated to following Christ, and that he was not afraid of people. He had something I wanted. I also read a gospel tract that showed me that I had sinned against God, and that, unless I surrendered my life fully to Christ, I was on my way to Hell. I had prayed and asked God to forgive me many times before, but this was different. I now surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life. My life became different. I no longer fear dying, and I am a follower of Christ as my Master. He is my true joy. Nothing else compares.
